I started this journal to post my poetry and short short fiction, but it has extended to include all sorts of other meaningful crap as well. I also find time to post about the perpetually illuminating experiences as the graveyard shift manager of a hotel. I occasionally post the results of Scrabble games I play mostly for my own record and to review my strategies. My wife thinks such posts are boring... AHEM... but now I'm not playing as often so such posts are much less frequent.

Vertigon is a brand of prochlorperazine, and is effective as an antipsychotic, suppressing abnormal behaviour, reducing aggressiveness and producing tranquillisation. It minimises and controls the abnormal behavior associated with schizophrenia and other mental disorders. Use of this drug for more than a few months may lead to the development of involuntary, potentially irreversible movements of the eyes, mouth and tongue. The Vertigon is a spatial disorientation machine, simulating the effect of vertigo to pilots in training by using the Coriolis illusion - a vestibular illusion brought about by a combination of ear, eye, and proprioceptive disturbances. This illusion completely disturbs the perception of true vertical. This is accompanied by vertigo and a complete loss of motion perception of the true vertical.
